Water-soluble polymers are tough to analyze because they frequently absorb to the column depending on their ionic properties. Cationic polymers are particularly difficult to measure with GPC because they require various analysis techniques such as selecting specific columns depending on the ionic properties. Our institute is capable of applying suitable analysis conditions based on the polymer’s ionic (cationic, anionic, nonionic, zwitterionic) conditions. For GPC Standards, we generally use PEG/PEO and polysaccharides for GPC calibration. We also have poly(acrylic acid) and poly(styrene sulfonic acid) ready for use.
